Working with Nordic Semiconductor:

 DornerWorks leverages Nordic chipsets in a variety of Bluetooth, Thread and Matter based designs. To facilitate rapid prototyping, DornerWorks created a custom development kit with Bluetooth/Thread, WiFi, and Cellular capabilities using all Nordic based chipsets.   

Which projects we focus on:

While our team’s full capabilities are best showcased through partnering with customers on full system design, DornerWorks also engages with customers on shorter-term projects for all areas referenced below. 

 Specializing in Bluetooth, WiFi, Thread and Matter based designs, including AI at the edge, DornerWorks prefers to focus on quality engineering for production-ready products versus low-cost prototyping. 

Design services

​​DornerWorks is an independent design firm focusing on embedded hardware, firmware, FPGA, mobile and cloud development.    

​ ​For embedded hardware, our services include schematic and PCB layout, as well as design for manufacturing and design transfer to contract manufacturing. 

​ ​For embedded firmware, the majority of our connected product experience is in low power microcontroller applications. Our most common design requires Bluetooth connectivity to a mobile application with an eventual connection to a cloud backend system. Recent designs have included Matter over Thread-based controllers for the home automation/consumer electronics market.
