Who we are and what we do:
iProtoXi provides complete IoT systems including: shock- and waterproof, robust, nRF-based Aistin Devices; energy-efficient connectivity, an open-API, IoThund cloud system, a mobile application, device management, and over-the-air updates. Customers are able to choose the whole system, or just the parts they need integrated to their system. Fully customized devices and services are a key part of our offering. Customization can include for example industrial design, mechanics design, hardware design, device software design, mobile application design and cloud SW design.
Smart power control of the nRF-based Aistin Device Platform enables longer than usual operating times, even in challenging conditions and with a single set of batteries. Independent and maintenance free devices are connected securely to the internet via 4G NB-IoT/Cat M1. Local connectivity is made by NFC or via Bluetooth 5.x.
Wastebook (waste management) and Vexve (district heating and cooling) are great examples of the variety of industries iProtoxi serves with both standard and customized products.
What makes us unique:
“How many potential digitalization ideas have been left unrealized due to sheer difficulty?”, a group of four Nokia engineers asked themselves. Without a ready platform or technological knowhow, creating innovative digital products and solutions posed a true challenge. Companies inspiring to create something innovative and differentiate themselves had to work with multiple vendors – coordinating and organizing everything. When it came to project schedules and costs, having to work with multiple vendors posed a massive scope creep. Thus, we founded iProtoXi, a single one-stop full IoT vendor, to put our expertise to use and allow great ideas to improve things through digitalization.
Working with Nordic Semiconductor:
We have been using Nordic nRF chipset since their first nRf51822 BT SOC. We found Nordic the best choice for our Aistin platform and customer needs. The latest Aistin Device Platform utilizes the Nordic Ultracool nRF9160 SIP with the NBIoT/CatM1 connectivity. nRF chips are modern, use the latest technology, and enable long operating times. Possibility to control IO pins freely and having control over the source makes the nRF series an excellent choice for us for different IoT customer use cases.
