Who we are and what we do: 
KS Technologies (KST) was founded 18 years ago in Colorado Springs, CO by Bob Kressin. As a former IC designer for Hewlett-Packard/Aglient, Bob recognized the need for an agile design house with dedicated engineering expertise and KST was born! KST offers solutions for mobile hardware accessories, mobile applications, and cloud-based solutions- we LOVE to design and develop multi-layer technology solutions for remote sensing in the Internet-of-Things (IoT) space. KST also specializes in test and measurement, private label products, and engineering services.

What makes us unique:
KST takes a multidisciplinary approach to product development. Our internal engineering disciplines include mechanical, UI/UX, embedded Linux, hardware, firmware, system architect, and cloud architecture. We have a robust, well established Product Development Lifecycle process which allows for speed to market while ensuring the highest quality standards are upheld for all products and services. All KST products go through a rigorous design and review process. We are confident that our products are engineered to the highest standard and our customers agree

Working with Nordic Semiconductor:
KST specializes in Hardware and RF designs as well as embedded software utilizing Nordic components. KST has long history designing products with Nordic ICs beginning with our KST Particle beacon which utilized the nRF51. Recent projects have included utilizing the nRF52 modules, nRF52832 WLCSP, and the nRF9160 SoC.

Which projects we focus on:
We have sold thousands of products to Fortune 50 companies as well as small businesses, startups, and municipalities. KST has worked on multi-year projects and quick turn projects. KST utilizes a robust product development lifecycle, and we work with our clients to design turnkey products, from discovery to manufacturing. We also work with our clients for specific services such as firmware or board design only. Given our lean structure, we can easily step in where we are most needed to bring the most value to our customers. KST generally works with clients in North America, but we have worked with clients in the Middle East and Europe. We also offer test and measurement services. We have worked with smart cities/airports, oil and gas, waste management, and agricultural applications, just to name a few.

KST has deep expertise working with Nordic ICs. As our engineers like to say, we’ve worked with ALL the Nordic ICs! Recent projects have included utilizing the nRF52 modules, nRF52832 WLCSP, and the nRF9160 SiP. Nordic is a critical partner for KST. We offer turnkey services (discovery to production) and manufacturing services (utilizing our trusted CM) for our Service clients.
