Working with Nordic Semiconductor:
Sparx was an early adopter of the NRF51 series for a combination BLE / ANT+ fitness device that optically analyzed the blood chemistry of athletes. Our engineers immediately appreciated the platform’s performance, tools, and support. Since then, we have used Nordic chipsets to power our customers’ medical devices, building access products, and other research equipment.
Recent Nordic projects include BLE enabled physical security products and technology demonstrators for visualizing data in real time.

Sparx supports both short- and long-term support of projects that span weeks or multiple years. With our new location in Oslo, Norway, Sparx is well suited to helping European clients develop Nordic Semiconductor based products and can assist them with regulatory compliance and testing as well as supporting manufacturing for North American markets.

Design services
Full electrical design, development, and test capabilities including PCB design, RF tuning and testing, prototype fabrication, testing, automated test fixtures, design reviews, supply chain management, BOM cost reduction and EOL redesign.
Software services across all platforms including embedded, desktop, phone / mobile, and cloud. Primary languages are C/C++/C# and Python but experienced in everything from Labview to Matlab to Go. Experienced in FPGA development with hard and soft processors in VHDL and Verilog.
Mechanical engineering services in solid and surface modeling, simulation, rapid manufacturing, production sourcing, injection mold design, machining, vacuum forming, sheet metal, and casting. Simulations include static, dynamic, thermal, fluid, and drop test studies.
Chemical services utilizing a full wet laboratory including custom synthesis, chemical sensor development, modeling/statistical data analysis, microbiology, and contract research.
